The shopaholic Me

Ok, I admit it. I am a shopaholic. But I can justify my shopping because majority of the time, I only shop for my little daughter. I love shopping cute tank tops, pants, skirts and even accessories for her.

That’s one thing that I like for having a daughter. There are a lot of nice and cute clothing for girls that I can choose from, that I really can’t resist the urge to shop every time I see one. Who can resist a cute and sexy skirt that goes well with a nice tank top that really looks good on my daughter when she tries it on? I think I shop for my little girl almost every week that sometimes my friends are already saying that I am already an addict.

But since my daughter is already attending school and they don’t have a uniform, she really needs a lot of wardrobe that she can wear to school. I was just browsing the net and I found some cute tank tops and shorts from my favorite brand for my daughter, Roxy Girl. I will be checking my pay check tomorrow and if budget permits, I might buy it for her.

Sale – Sale – Sale

I went crazy doing an online window shopping since a lot of online sites are having their 4th of July sale. Some of them even have an additional 20 – 25% discount on top of their sale items until July 10th.

I know it is still a little early but I figured I can start doing my Christmas shopping now. Imagine I can buy flip flops, blouses, perfume, lotion, personalized pens, shoes, clothes at 30-50% off. That would be a huge saving for me. And it is really a perfect timing since my friend is in Baltimore right now and I can have it delivered at his hotel address and then he will just shipped it to me here in Manila. I would be saving big bucks for sure.

I can’t wait for my Internet connection to be restored so I can do my online shopping. I am now sitting here at a coffee lounge and the connection really sucks so it takes forever for the sites to load.

I can’t wait to have my hands on my laptop and click my mouse button to check out all the items in my shopping cart.

Summer wear from Gap and Old Navy

Don’t you think it is still too hot and humid these past few weeks that I feel that it is still summer? I mean, it should be the rainy season already. It was raining during the last week of May and I thought it is already the start of the rainy season, but then it started to become warm. Just this weekend, Bela asked me to remove her clothes and she preferred to run naked inside our house. Maybe she feels really hot.

So when I saw the summer collection from Gap and Old Navy, I can’t help but be tempted to do some shopping. Don’t you think they are so cute? I can even wear it for our Singapore trip as I know it will be warm in Singapore during that time.

But look what I end up buying.
Aren’t they cute? But they are not for me. They are for of course for Bela. Maybe I’ll do shopping for myself some other time.

Eiffel Tower Bag by Timmy Woods

Ok, ok I am now obsessed with the Speedy LV bag. Every time I would see someone carrying one, I would really stare in envy and amazement. But as of today, I should still just settle to stare in envy as I still don’t have the money to buy it. LOL.

So to take my mind off that Speedy LV bag, I started to browse the net and found this cute bag that is even featured in the Sex and the City movie, the Eiffel Tower Bag by Timmy Woods.

Remember this scene from the Sex and the City movie? Carrie is holding the Eiffel Tower bag in this scene.

The bag is made from Acacia wood and is hand-painted and signed by Timmy Woods herself. But mind you, the Swarovsky crystal version worn by Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City the Movie is even more expensive than the LV bag that I want at $3,000 and the plain version is priced at $450.

Shopping is my therapy

Since hubby will be in Majuro (which is a US territory) for three weeks, I was wondering if I can order online and have it shipped to his hotel there. He said that he will let me know as soon as he gets there if it is possible so I can start shopping. LOL.

The last time that he was in the US, online shopping has been my companion and therapy and has really helped me a lot to not to miss him that much. LOL. I did not realize that three weeks has gone by that fast since I was busy checking the different online stores and shopping for my daughter. Hope this time around, shopping would be my therapy again so I will not notice the three weeks that Howell is away.

Sounds like a good deal? I will check it out later if they have great items on sale that I can order.

My shopping has to wait

It’s Memorial Day sale at Old Navy. Peachy gave me the good news last week and I got so excited that I immediately browse the site and added to my cart all the items that I want to order.

Every time I shop online, I send all that I purchased to our friend’s address in the US and she will just sent it to us here in Manila. This is cheaper as we don’t have to pay for expensive shipping cost.

So after I selected the item that I want to buy for my daughter, I immediately contacted my friend so I can ask for her permission if I can send her my Old navy purchases. But I just found out that they’re on vacation.

Then I remember that she mentioned to me when we last talked that they still have seven days of rest and recreation leave which they need to use, otherwise it will just be forfeited. So they are planning to go to the US Virgin Islands and get one of those St. Thomas villa rentals where they can stay for a week.

I bet hey are having a grand vacation there now so my online shopping has to wait.

I really got Carried away: Spoiler

The Sex and the City movie was just amazing. All the casts from the last season are present, including Magda (Miranda’s house cleaner who is now her nanny for her son).

There are a number of scenes there where I cried. One was when Carrie was asking her friends to get her out of the Library where their wedding will be held when Big did not show up on their wedding. Then the second time was when she saw Big and Carrie was so mad that she hit Big with her bouquet and Charlotte and Miranda was with her all the time. The third time was when Charlotte saw Big in the restaurant and she cried for Carrie.

Even before I watched the movie, I knew that Big will not show up in the wedding. Typical Mr. Big right? But at the beginning of the film, I was kind of thinking, maybe he will show up as he was a different Mr. Big. He was so sweet to Carrie like Carrie was his everything.

Then I can’t imagine Steve would also cheat on Miranda. Not the typical Steve. But I’m glad that at the end of the movie, they got back together. But I was sad when Samantha broke up with Smith. Smith was the perfect guy. But then again, just like what my cousin said, it is Samantha. Samantha really loves Smith, but she loves herself more. (Remember, she used these lines before when she broke up with Richard, the hotel tycoon).

And then Lily, Charlotte’s daughter, was really cute. And Charlotte did not change a bit. She’s still the sweet and funny Charlotte that we loved from the SATC TV series.

Over all, I really loved the film. A number of times, the audience will clap every time they love a certain scene in the movie. I was so happy and elated after watching the movie. It’s like I’m in heaven (until HE ruined my day the next day. LOL). For a moment I forgot about my mommy duties and I just concentrate on the girls of SATC and Mr. Big while watching it. Hope I can catch it again this week with hubby (if he still has time as his schedule is really full this week). I will definitely buy an original DVD.

Hope the producers will decide to bring back the TV series after the success of the movie. SATC rocks!!!

Today is the day!!

It’s Sex and the City for me today. I didn’t know that the regular showing starting yesterday. I just got a text message from my cousin inviting me to watch the movie with her.

And since Howell will be attending a training later form 5:00 – 7:00 PM and I can’t wait for another day to watch my much awaited movie of the year, I will be watching this movie with my cousin Tessa even though Howell promised that he will treat me out for this movie.

Don’t worry Dad, I think I can watch this movie over and over again and so if you would still want to treat me out, we can still do it this weekend. LOL.

They say that the movie has good reviews so I’m really excited. I will the leave the office as soon as the clock hits 4:30 and will meet my cousin at Robinson’s Place Ermita at 6:00 P.M.

I can’t wait.

Banana Republic Wish List

It’s Memorial Day sale at Banana Republic.

I was not supposed to do an online window shopping today but then I got this email from Banana Republic regarding their Memorial Day sale. They offer 30% discount to selected items up to May 26.

So I said, a few peak won’t hurt and so I tried to visit their site and found some great finds:

What I like about Banana Republic is that they are a little cheaper compared to other brands so they are a little within my budget. But of course, I can’t do any shopping now. I still have to save for our Singapore trip and Hong Kong trip. Maybe, I can just do my shopping there.

So I just thought of sharing here my wish list for this week.

Online window shopping again

Since I have been working so hard last week, I think I deserve a little prize. LOL. (Hmm, or I might just be looking for a justification for my shopping.) So I have been doing some online window shopping again at my favorite online shoe store, shoebuy.com and below are my choices:

1. Crocs Alice - Grape



I already have the Crocs Alice – Ruby and since I’m so in love with the color purple, wouldn’t it be nice to have another Alice in purple color?

2. Crocs Malindi




My friend Peachy ordered this one already and I first saw it when she asked me if I want to order too. But I don’t have a budget that time for another shoe so I painstakingly resist the temptation to buy another Crocs. But then I saw this at the mall and I really love it.

Crocs has been one of my favorite shoes now. I have three pairs of Crocs shoes (Alice, Prima and eleven the bulky and manly Cayman style) and I want to buy more. I love them because they are very comfortable and I can wear it to almost anything, be it pants, skirts, shorts. I even wear it at work.

I can only afford to buy one pair so this will be a very tough decision to make. LOL.

CSI Episode 9 and Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown)

OMG. I can’t believe what happened in the last episode of CSI. I just saw it now since I was not able to watch it again last Wednesday.

The case for this week involves a leader of a mob named Gedda and Warrick suspects that he is still doing his old mob ways and he has cops on his payroll that’s why no case has been filed against him. Warrick was so obsessed in getting a warrant to search for Gedda’s property to search for evidence but the judge think that the evidence that he gathered is not enough to get a warrant. Since he was so frustrated, he decided to go to the club to inspect until he meets one of the club girls named Candy. He has been drinking with the girl until Grissom came and send him home. Warrick returned to the club and went into a hotel with Candy (the club girl) while he is drunk, hallucinating and high on drugs. Then he woke up and found out that Candy was no longer in the room. He went back to the strip club to find out that Candy has been murdered and the body was found inside his car.

Then I saw the teaser for next week and Grissom said to Warrick “You’re fired!” OMG, don’t tell me that Warrick is leaving CSI too. (Two weeks ago, Jorja Fox had her last episode with CSI because she decided to leave the show.)

So I googled for answer and found out that Gary Dourdan (Warrick) is leaving the show at the end of season 8. Oh noh, now I really feel sad. First it’s Sarah and now it’s Warrick. I can’t imagine CSI Vegas without the two. But reports say that the reason for him leaving the show was not voluntary and just last April 29, Gary Dourdan was caught at 5:00 AM sleeping inside his car while it is parked at the wrong side of the street. Police said that he was disoriented and they found heroine, cocaine and ecstasy in his possession. Oh no, whatever happened to him.

I was sharing my sentiments with my husband and of course he is still all positive. He was telling me, “Don’t worry, maybe he will just be send to rehab and will come back to the show after that. Imagine, Robert Downey and now he even has the Iron Man movie.” Very typical of my husband, always positive. LOL.

I just wish Gary Dourdan will be able to get back on his feet. Oh, I really hate drugs!!

Maybe a mother’s day gift from hubby? Hmm, I doubt that. He might collapse after he sees the price. LOL. But you know, I might collapse too. These bags are really lovely. In fact every time I see someone carrying this bag, I would really stare in bewilderment. I’m like a child who got his first toy for Christmas. But then I realized, no matter how much I worked hard, I can never afford this bag. Or even if I can afford it, I’m not sure if I can just spend that money for this bag. So for now, I will just post it here and I will just continue, wishing and hoping.

And since we’re in the topic of LV bags, did you know that a Kapuso star was the latest endorser of LV bags? Yup, being a true Kapuso, I was really happy when I found out that Marian Rivera was chosen to endorse the luxury LV bags (she really had her break after Angel Locsin decided to move to the other network). She endorsed the 2008 Resort Collection of Louis Vuitton. She now joins the roster of famous models and actresses like Angela Lindvall, Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, and top Hollywood celebrities like Scarlett Johansson, Uma Thurman and JLO as image models of Louis Vuitton.

Sarah’s not coming back!!

Remember I made a post here before about CSI Vegas Episode where Sarah left Grissom and I was wondering if it is really the end of their love story.

Well I found my answer to my question. Sarah Sidle (played by Jorja Fox) has already left CSI for good. Episode 8 of season 8 was her final day on the set. According to Jorja, it is not because of money or her contract that made her leave the show. There are some things that she wants to do, personally and professionally, that she wants to do before she gets old and being in CSI is stopping her for doing all those things.

I was kind if hoping that before the season ends, Sarah will go back and she and Grissom will get married and they will live happily ever after. I’m really a fan of their love team. I have been following their love team ever since Sarah arrived in Las Vegas and every season I’m always hoping that the two will end up together. But I guess, it will never happen now. Poor Grissom. (See I’m really affected!!). That’s the reason why when Catherine asked Grissom to run after Sarah in last week’s episode, Grissom said that he does not want to do it since that is not what Sarah wants. All he wants was for Sarah to be happy. Ahh, so sweet.

Sarah & Grissom love story - Is it really the end?

Have you seen the last episode of CSI Vegas? I was not able to watch the last two episodes and the last episode that I was able to watch was when Grissom proposed to Sarah. I was so happy with the turn out of events that I even made a post about it here.

I was not able to catch it last Wednesday so I just watched the re run last Sunday. I was so excited to watch it but then I realized, Sarah was really acting weird. She looks sad, disoriented, and not her usual self and she even ignored Grissom. So I was really bothered and so I sent and SMS to my cousin asking her what did I missed from the last two episodes since I really don’t get the point that Sarah looks really sad. The last thing I remember was she and Grissom was all happy after the proposal and I thought they would really live happily ever after. And so when my cousin replied, she just said that she too can’t understand Sarah and that I should really watch this episode.

And so I was really surprised to find out that the ending would be she will have to leave Las Vegas. She said on her letter to Grissom that when she was left alone in the desert by the serial killer, it made her realized things. And although she really loves Grissom and Grissom is the only person that she can call home, she still would have to leave.

This is not how I imagined their love story would end. Not like this. Sarah said in her letter to Grissom that she doesn’t even know where she will be going. I just hope that in the next episodes, she will come back and she and Grissom will finally live happily ever after.

What’s new with Coach this April?

Ever since Howell bought me a Coach bag for Christmas, Coach has been one of my favorite designer bags. So I have been constantly checking their site for their new designs. Still drooling as I still can’t afford it (I’m waiting for the next Christmas and hoping that hubby will buy me another one. Wink, wink). But I still won’t get tired of posting these cute bags from Coach.

Marc & Paula

I was up until 2:30 AM last night. You know what I have been busy with?

I was searching for news about Marc and Rovilson and whatever happened to them after the Amazing Race. And I found a site where it is discussing a buzz about Marc and Paula (from Thailand), that the two are possibly dating.

I also found videos from youtube when Paula guested at Sports Unlimited. So I got obsessed searching for videos of Marc and Paula that I end up watching each of their videos in youtube. And I didn’t notice it is already 2:30 AM.

I really like Marc and Paula as a couple. Hope they will end up together. According to Diane Castillejo in her opinion, the best thing that happened to Marc and Paula in the Amazing Race Asia is that they met each other. (Wink, wink). Is this a first hand confirmation form Diane that the two is really an item?

CSI Vegas: And Grissom proposed

Maybe we should get married. That’s how Grissom proposed to Sarah.

I was not able to watch the last episode of CSI Vegas last Wednesday and was only able to watch the replay today.

Sarah and Grissom we’re in a bee farm wearing suits to protect them from the bees. Grissom asked Sarah to try if the bee would sting her, and that’s when Grissom preferred to pop the question. Not the most romantic place to propose (but is very typical of Grissom that’s why I love the scene more), but I love Grissom and Sarah as a pair. And for Sarah who has long been waiting for Grissom to pop the question, the answer of course would be a definite Yes.

I can’t wait to see what would happen in the next episodes. I’m really excited for Sarah and Grissom’s love team specially now that their relationship is moving up to the next level.

It’s a date on April 7

I just received the most wonderful news today. This will also be good news to all Marc Nelson fans out there.

Marc will be the host of the new reality TV show on QTV entitled, The Debutante. My good friend Timmy was the one who texted me the news as she knows that I’m really one big fan of Marc Nelson. This means I will be able to see him again every week.

The Debutante will start airing on April 7, 2008, 8:30 PM on QTV. So it will be a date for me and Marc on the 7th of April. I can’t wait. Just thinking about it makes me excited and happy already.

An end to my craving

Last Sunday, I was finally able to satisfy my craving for Racks Baby Back ribs. I was so full after eating since I was able to finish the half slab with the beans, extra rice and coleslaw. (Yeah, I am that a big eater.) I was so full that I didn’t eat merienda and I was still full until dinner time. LOL.

On Diaper Bags

I just received a good news from my best friend in LA that she is already pregnant. Her sister will be visiting her there next week and so I’m thinking of buying something for her and her husband and ask her sister to bring it when she leaves next week.

I’m thinking of buying her maternity clothes, but then I know that she can buy cheap maternity clothes there and I don’t know what’s her size. And since I love my baby couture diaper bag, I’m thinking of buying one for her. My friend Jacq is very fashionable and “kikay” so I’m pretty sure that she would love to look sassy even with a diaper bag. So Baby Couture diaper bags will be perfect for her.
