Because of the popularity of Carrie Bardshaw’s character in Sex and the City and how much she is into fashion, fans of Sex and the City can’t help seeing Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw. And so for the red carpet premiere of Sex and the City in New York, fans are really expecting that Sarah Jessica would wear something that will awe the fans and the fashion critique.

And she did. Fans were really awed as she walked the red carpet wearing a strapless Nina Ricci gown with gold sash and silver metallics that has been designed by Olivier Theyskens. But just the next day, Sarah Jessica Parker found out that the gown has been worn not once, but twice.

First was when Lindsay Lohan wore it in the Harper's Bazaar magazine last March and the second time was when socialite Lauren Santo Domingo wore it at the Met ball just last May.

Sarah Jessica was so disappointed with Mario Grauso (President of the fashion division at Puig which owns Nina Ricci) and Olivier Theyskens because the two even assured her when they went to the studio that the dress hasn’t been worn before and has only been photographed in magazines.

Quoting Parker: “Look, my affection for the dress hasn’t changed but what they did was so short-sighted. It’s just unethical and disappointing that they would allow the dress to be worn again.”

If I am Sarah Jessica I would be disappointed too. Fans of Sex and City has long been waiting for this movie premiere so it is really something big then you would be seen and photographed wearing a dress that has been worn twice already.
