I was watching E-news daily last night and it was reported that actor Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown of CSI Vegas) was charged with three felonies after being arrested for possession of controlled substance cocaine, heroin and ecstasy. Earlier this week I made a post about this and I was really disappointed to hear that kind of news about him. I mean, he is one of the hottest and popular actors of CSI. I can’t tell what’s going on in his mind but I can’t help but asked why he had to throw away his life and career for drugs.
And then there is Mel Gibson. Mel Gibson is a two time Oscar winner and is a famous historian, director, producer and screenwriter. He is famous for movies like Braveheart, The Passion of the Christ, Lethal Weapon, Mad Max, What Women Want and The Man Without a Face among others. Last 2006, he was arrested for driving under the influence of the alcohol and he acted violently and gave some rude remarks when he was arrested. A few days after his arrest he issued a statement of apology and he admitted that he has alcohol problems. After his arrest he submitted himself to alcohol rehab and has undergone a recovery program.
Good for Mel Gibson, he was able to get up on his feet again and got his life back. I really hate drugs and alcohol. Just like that, it can ruin anyone’s lives. I so love Gary Dourdan and I will definitely miss him when he leaves CSI after this season. But I hope that just like Mel Gibson, he will be able to make a rebound and get his life back again.
